Essential Documents for Your Loan Application

  1. W-2 forms or business tax returns (if self-employed) for the last two to three years for all applicants.
  2. Pay stubs from the last one or more months for each applicant.
  3. Two to four months' worth of bank or credit union statements for both checking and savings accounts.
  4. Personal tax forms from the last two to three years.
  5. Brokerage account statements for two to four months and a list of other significant assets like boats, RVs, or non-brokerage stocks and bonds.
  6. The most recent statement for 401(k) or other retirement accounts.
  7. Documentation for additional income sources, such as child support or pension.
  8. Credit card details, including account numbers and outstanding balances.
  9. Information on other installment loans (student loans, car loans, etc.), including lender details, loan numbers, and amounts owed.
